Are you ready for the big news?
First of all, we wanted to say a big thank-you to you, our amazing customers. The orders that have come through in the last few months have been incredible, and a special thanks to all of you who set up appointments to come and shop in the store for the last time. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work through the issues with our newly launched website. We hope that it has been relatively easy to navigate, and that you’ve been able to find what you’re looking for. As always, we appreciate any feedback you have to make your online shopping experience as streamlined as possible. Feel free to e-mail us at odysseyvinyl@gmail.com if you have any feedback or issues with our website. We will be continuously be adding new and used product over the coming weeks, so keep checking our New Arrivals section. We will also be offering pre-orders for upcoming album releases so you can be sure to snag a copy before they sell out!
It was very difficult to pack up Odyssey Records at our first location at 613 Dundas Street. It is where we made a lot of wonderful memories. We hosted live shows, DJ sets, hosted our very first Record Store Day event, held countless film screenings (some with some very special guests), and it’s where our daughter took her first steps. We also collaborated with the many small businesses we came to know in OEV including Juicy Tings, Ill at Will / School of Hip-Hip, and London Brewing Co-op who allowed us to pop-up at their weekly live music shows. There are many people to thank who helped us get Odyssey Records off the ground; Adam Sturgeon, Antler River Press, our friends, family, and countless others (you know who you are!)
…and now for the news you’ve been waiting for!
Without further ado we are beyond stoked to announce that we will be staying in OEV, and our new location will be at 1025 Elias Street!
.
We are even more excited to share a block with some pretty stellar local businesses, such as Anderson Craft Ales, Junction Climbing Centre, London Brewing Co-op, and Art East! We are also located next to the lovely Boyle Memorial Community Centre and Park. As an added bonus we will have a customer parking spot, and you will also be able to pull up and drop off your collections to sell right to the front door. For those who are travelling by bus to reach us, there are two bus stops close by, one at Quebec and Elias, and the other at Dundas and Dorinda. Our new space will be set up to host live shows, film screenings, and other special events. It will also be a space for us to manufacture our in-house record cleaner, Old King Record Cleaner. And of course… good old fashioned records and cinema for you to dig through!
